Valley Storm Shelters™ is a leading designer and manufacturer of storm shelters. Our shelters are constructed to withstand 250 MPH ground speed wind equivalent to that of an EF-5 tornado and have been tested by the Texas Tech Wind Science and Engineering Research Center. Valley Storm Shelters™ is also a Producer Member of the National Storm Shelters Association (NSSA).

All Valley Storm Shelters™ are constructed using the strongest, highest quality materials available. Our shelters are constructed using: 1/4″ steel plate walls, floor and door. Reinforced 3/4″ steel corners. 4″ structural C channel. Full steel floor 1/4″ plate (carpeted) to enhance structural support and to prevent electrocution. One coat primer, two coats high quality industrial marine enamel (light gray). Three large vents strategically located to create natural airflow and covered with 1/4″ steel debris protectors. Electrical access opening with weather resistant grommet.

Valley Storm Shelters™ 310 lb vault like door is one of the strongest doors on the market. Constructed of 1/4″ plate steel with 4″ C channel reinforcement, our door opens to the inside to prevent entrapment and is equipped with a Medeco pick proof and drill proof deadbolt. Securing the door during a storm are three 1 1/4″ stainless steel locking pins that are secured through six solid steel guide blocks and three solid steel receiver blocks. Three heavy duty barrel hinges with grease fittings ensure ease of operation of the door. A 1″ diameter laminated polycarbonate bullet resistant peep hole (1 1/4″ thick) allows visiual inspection of the area immediately outside of the door.

Valley Storm Shelter’s exclusive anchoring system for above ground storm shelters is comprised of: concrete pillars, steel L anchors, stainless steel threaded rods and industrial 2-component anchoring adhesive.
